Canco Delivering Wishes !!

Make A Wish, "I’m excited to share with you our February Wish Story. Ashley is a 17-year-old girl from Alberta who has had a very tough recent journey, but you would never know it seeing that smile on her face. In November 2015, at only 11-years-old, Ashley was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. She was quickly admitted into the hospital where she endured multiple treatments and many rounds of chemotherapy. Things began to look up for Ashley as the chemotherapy was working and eliminating the cancer. Unfortunately, a heartbreaking setback occurred in 2018 when the cancer returned. This time around Ashley faced more chemotherapy and tough treatments to fight the cancer. Along with these treatment methods, Ashley was lucky enough to find a match for a bone marrow transplant. In 2018, Ashley had a successful bone marrow transplant and continued chemotherapy which thankfully resulted in Ashely being declared cancer free.

Ashley is very outgoing and friendly. She is very close with her mom and dad, especially liking when they have pizza nights. Ashley is very humble, not wanting a lot, just preferring to spend time at home and with a few friends. Ashley’s wish was for a large computer screen that she could use that would be easier on her eyes when she was doing homework. At Make-A-Wish, we knew that we could provide Ashley with a wish much bigger, and more deserving, than that!! After some consideration and thought, Ashley decided for an Apple Product shopping spree wish.

After her shopping spree wish day, which took place on a -32 degree Celsius day in Alberta, Ashely said “My parents and I have no words to express how thankful we are. I just wanted to say thank you so much for everything. My family and I could not be more grateful for the journey of granting my wish.”

Because of the support from Canco Petroleum, Ashley's wish came true!
